"unidentified developer" message

On a Macintosh, the first time you try to run the Ultimate Phonics program you may get a message like this:

To run Ultimate Phonics on your Mac, you will need to do this:

  1. Go into Finder and then go into your Applications folder.

    Go into your Applications folder

  2. Locate Ultimate Phonics in your Applications folder.

  3. Control-click Ultimate Phonics in your Applications folder. (Control-click means press down the control key and hold it down while clicking with your mouse or trackpad.)

    A menu will pop up. Click Open in the menu.

    Control-click Ultimate Phonics then click Open

  4. A message box will appear asking if you are sure you want to open Ultimate Phonics. Click the Open button to run Ultimate Phonics

    Click the Open button in the message box to run Ultimate Phonics

You only need to do this procedure once. From now on, Ultimate Phonics will run normally.
